CARRIER BELLEUSE / HORS COMPETITION Albert-Ernest Carrier-Belleuse born Albert-Ernest Carrier de Belleuse (June 12, 1824 Anizy-le -Château - June 4, 1887) was a French sculptor. He was a founding member of the Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts and was made an Officer of the Legion of Honor. His work encompassed all kinds of subjects and sculptural materials and his naturalism united a range of styles: relaxed realism, opulent neo-baroque and rococo elegance.
