Pair of bottle vases, underglaze mark "Augustus Rex", probably Saxony 19th

On both sides of the domed vases with high, narrow necks are scenes decorated with figures depicting a coastal landscape with figures and boats in the Meissen style. On the broad-rimmed base is the blue coaster mark "Augustus Rex".
As Meissen could only use the "Augustus Rex" mark for Augustus the Strong, painters from the Meissen manufactory began reproducing these products in a number of small manufactories in the Dresden region at the beginning of the 19th century. At first, the quality of these products was still largely identical to that of the Meissen products, but over the course of the 19th century, they were increasingly simplified and displayed.
These two vases are one of the earliest examples of this type.
Minor restoration to one vase.
