Chinese Porcelain Lamp With Bronze Mounting, Charles X, Paris Early 19th

This extremely rare lamp consists of Kangxi-period porcelain panels set in a Charles X-style gilded bronze frame. The classic Chinese panels are finely framed and feature delicate floral motifs and foliage compositions on their inner surfaces. The finely decorated bronze frame is adorned at the bottom with a large rosette of leaves. The chain is attached on three sides to looped eyelets. A strictly structured ceiling crown forms the upper finish. Paris, early 19th century; the porcelain plaques date from much earlier.
