Friezes in gilded mercury bronze
Height 55 cm. width 20 prof. 20
Very good condition
Pair of magnificent Medici vases in red French marble entirely decorated with very fine friezes in mercury-gilt bronze.
They depict the symbolic images of classical antiquity, among which a series of mythological female figures dancing in a circle around the cups stands out.
It is truly difficult to describe the beauty and elegance of these two splendid furnishings, which represent the most refined taste of the Napoleonic epic and the Empire style in an excellent manner.
The vases are in excellent condition and the gilding is still the original one.
