Pair Of Wall lights “ Putti Blowers” circa 1720

These appliques have on the plate two putti with swollen cheeks, these faces are also the representation of Zephyr wind from the West and the North West. This model was very successful and was even later taken up by the bronzier Germain. A similar pair is at Charlottenburg Palace in Berlin.
The particularity of Regence wall lights is the different design of each of the sconces and their basin and binet.
For the technique, we will note the twisted threads, the binets in two shells, the arms gripped by iron screws and bronze nuts.

Very good original condition, no drilling or repairs, beautiful ormoulu.
