Swivelling diamond and ruby cluster ring, mid 19th century.

A swivelling rose-cut diamond and ruby cluster ring in the form of a shield with a crown surmount.

The centre of the diamond shield is set with a double sided carnelian intaglio.

One side of the intaglio is carved with the crest of a horse and a monogram beneath a crown to the other.

European, marked to the reverse of the shank with French duty marks, mid 19th Century.

Ring size M 1/2 Uk / 6.5 US.

The diamond shield measures 2.1 x 1.7cm.
