Porcelain lamp with Charles X bronze mount, Paris, early 19th c.

This extremely rare lamp is made of Kangxi porcelain panels with an Charles X gilt bronze frame. The classical Chinese panels are finely framed and decorated with filigree flowers and foliage on the inside. The finely decorated bronze frame is decorated at the bottom with a large rosette of leaves. The chain is attached on three sides to looped eyelets. A strictly structured ceiling crown forms the upper finish. Paris, early 19th century, the porcelain plates are much older.
