A collection of fifteen Roman and Medieval bronze, gilt and enamelled horse harness pendants.

English, late Roman - 15th century.

The largest measures 7.8 x 4.6cm.

The smallest measures 2.3 x 2.3cm.

Including: a red enamelled shield shaped pendant displaying three lions, suspended from a cruciform hanger; a quatrefoil pendant with enamelled heraldic decoration, suspended from a rectangular hanger; an unusual double pendant with two small shields (one restored) suspended from a bifurcated gilt metal hanger; five other pendants or portions thereof, and associated items.
