A Louis XVI period gilt carved wood barometer - thermometer decorated on the top with two doves, a torch and a quiver symbolising the Allegory of Love, surrounded by a laurel wreath. Original gilding. Interesting historical references for the thermometer. The mechanism was revised. In very good condition.
