Rare pair of exquisite console tables in carved and giltwood with green marble tops. Original gilding with nice patina. Rich carvings, pierced C-scrolls. Extremely rare as a pair. The marble is ancient light green marble from Greece (Verde Antico) or the "green Thessalian stone" that was already used during the Antiquity. A thin line of yellow Sienna marble. Great condition.

Lit: The superb green Verde Antico marble was used to shape the columns of Hagia Sophia ( 6th century) in Istanbul, Turkey.
