Charming panel from Italian renaissance.
Some retouched areas on the body of Christ. His face and crown untouched (except for a dot in the right iris and on the left cheek) qualitywise giving the impression of a skilled painter. Oil on wood. The original panel has been doubled with a thinner and newer one, as reinforcement. Unidentified collectors mark on the back and an old label (in German) with attribution to Girolamo da Santacroce. Probably original frame. Dimensions (without frame): 15,3 x 11,2 cm.
