A large French Empire clock with Psyche and Amor!, attributed to Thomire and his company ( 1751-1843). The dial is signed by Jean-Baptiste Lepaute (6 February 1727 – 18 March 1802)
The image is Psyche who delicately holds the hand of cupid to offer him a bird as a symbol of Love, Happiness, good luck, and even royalty.
