Offered by Borrelli Antichita
Elegant Neapolitan mirror of the second half of the eighteenth century entirely carved, sculpted and gilded with gold leaf.
The mirror looks like a triumph of carved wood with a movement that develops from bottom to top where it is possible to appreciate all its finesse.
The cymatium is a succession of volutes, rocaille, scallops and vegetable racemes.
Two feet with a rocaille pattern contribute to the elegance and refinement of this splendid object.
The mirror is made of mercury-salt glass and is contemporary with the wooden frame.
