This beautiful and important brass bell bears the inscription `` SANCTA MARIA ORA PRO NOBIS VACHAT MAFAIT 1755 '' (Sainte Marie priez pour nous – Vachat m'a fait en 1755)
It is also decorated with a pretty fleur-de-lis cross.
It also has its original clapper which triggers a very harmonious sound.
In campanology, brass is an alloy used for foundry of copper and tin-based bells.
