Ivory plaque - Hispano-Philippine, 17th century

Delightful ivory plaque with remains of gilt. The scene is most probably religious but hard to define. Could it be prophet Elijah in the desert being fed by an angel? Or is it simply Adam & Eve under the tree? The gender of the standing figure is not really clear and makes it even more intriguing. Is it an angel? Is the bearded man lying on a bed of flames? Or is it grass? Anyway: absolutely charming and in excellent condition. Very detailed carving of faces and robes. Slightly curved.
Dimensions: 6,3 x 4,3 x 0,7cm.
