Experience made in the Champs de Mars on 27th August 1783, at 5 pm, with a taffetas balloon with hot air.

This nice sheet depicts the flight of a ballon in front of the Ecole Militaire in Paris, seen in the background. Elegant canon of operators and spectators is caracteristic of Moreau’s manner.
Moreau is known for having drawn and engraved scenes of fashionable Parisien life.
