Bust of the Genius of Dance, Carrara marble sculpture according to Jean Baptiste Carpeaux (1827/1875) marble edition produced at the beginning of the 20th century with the presence of the signature JB CARPEAUX. Perfect state of presentation in a marble of beautiful quality.
A pupil of RUDE around 1844, Grand Prix de Rome in 1855 a major sculptor from the second half of the 19th century, this bust is inspired by the famous group "La Danse" exhibited in 1869 in front of the Paris Opera.
