Sculpture in basswood, full round carved polychrome colors and gilt.
Joseph of Nazareth was the man of the Virgin Mary and the father of Jesus, the Son of God. He was of the lineage of the family of King David, from under the old Testament, the Messiah would emerge.
On a pedestal stand and crafted into shape view the sculpture. St. Joseph is shown standing with Jesus on his right arm. In his left hand he holds a branch of lilies.
Old original state of conservation, socket possibly later.
