Beautiful oil on canvas signed L. Jani or (L. Sani?). This big tondo is framed by an important frame carrying its dimensions to 103 on 103 cm.

Provenance: Gustave de Beaumont whose name written on the back of the canvas attests the belonging. Gustave de Beaumont born in 1802 is a politician, diplomat and writer. A true friend of Alexis de Tocqueville, he studied the penitentiary system in the United States and wrote several books. Despite the success of his books, he will remain in the shadow of his friend's Democracy in America. De Beaumont will be deputy, vice-president of the constituent assembly, ambassador of France in London then in Vienna.
