GUELDRY Ferdinand Joseph

Born May 21, 1858 in Paris. Died in 1945. nineteenth-twentieth centuries. French
Painter of animated compositions, animated landscapes, landscape of water, marine.

He was a pupil of J.-L. Gérome. In 1878, he debuted at the Salon of Paris, 1885 medal of third class, 1889 silver medal for the Universal Exhibition, 1900 travel purse, 1908 knight of the Legion of Honor.

He first applied himself to reproducing the life of the workers at the shop and at the factory: Les Mouleurs; The Paris Municipal Laboratory; The rolling mill and the rest of the team; At the Imprimerie Nationale; Large rotary presses; Lainerie of a Northern spinning mill. Then he devoted himself to painting the landscapes of riversides, marshes and lakes, the scenes of boating.
