A fine early Louis XVI period gilt-bronze and black marble mantel clock by Causard, Horloger du Roi, Suivant la Cour.

The truncated column supporting the circular white enamelled dial with Roman numerals indicating the hours and Arabic numerals for the minutes indicated by engraved brass handles.

A pair of loving doves over the dial signed Causard.
