This fine neo-classical terracotta head is inspired by the Antiquity.
We compare this head to the "antique" production of the Roman sculptor and restorer Bartolomeo Cavaceppi (1716-1799), in particular to his terracottas from the Palazzo Venezia. Visible accidents at the back, causing gaps in the hairstyle.
