Daum Nancy - Large hammered vase in a diabolo shape with scented peas

A rare diabolo-shaped vase, entirely hammered, decorated with purple sweet peas on a pink background.

A three-layer design etched with acid on an opalescent Art Nouveau-era background. The surface of the vase is entirely faceted, creating a hammered effect and an irregular texture that reflects light in the most beautiful way. The interior of the vase is opalescent white to create a contrast with the

pink exterior decoration. Artistic model signed on the base “Daum Nancy” along with the Cross of Lorraine. Perfect condition.


This model is referenced in the book on the collections of the Nancy Museum, and an identical piece is housed at the Nancy Museum under inventory number 82.1.6 (see last photo).
