A pair of Biedermeier corner bergères circa 1820

A pair of exceptional and extremely rare, free-standing Biedermeier corner bergères
Southern Germany, circa 1820.

Exquisitely veneered in cherry wood, finished on all sides for free-standing placement. The legs are crafted from solid cherry wood, featuring broad maple band inlays on the front for a sophisticated color contrast.

The pieces are currently pre-upholstered and await their final top-cover fabric.
