An exceptional finely chased and mercury-gilded bronze incense burner featuring coral-colored Chinese glazed porcelain; it is surmounted by a porcelain flower bouquet resting on a flowering shrub and flanked by two pierced lidded vases, all set upon a pierced terrace featuring Rococo-style scrolling foliage motifs. An apocryphal Daoguang mark in red appears on the glaze beneath the base of the incense burner.
