"Grape" pendant light Attributed to Murano, Italy Circa 1970

Elegant “Grape” pendant light composed of several dozen hand-blown glass drops, organically
shaped, assembled into a generous cluster and suspended from a metal framework.

Executed in the tradition of the Venetian glassmaking craftsmanship of Murano, this light is
distinguished by the abundance of its clear glass elements, whose rounded, overlapping forms
evoke a bunch of grapes or a crystalline bloom. Light filters through the multiple layers of glass,
creating subtle effects of transparency and reflection.

Dating from the 1970s, this pendant light exemplifies the period’s taste for sculptural lighting, in
which glass becomes both a functional material and a decorative element in its own right.
