Régence period caned sofa with five cabriole legs and double-curved backrest

The sofa we present rests on five cabriole legs carved with foliage, scrolls, acanthus leaves, and shells.
Its curved apron is finely decorated with flat shells characteristic of Régence ornamentation, while the double-curved backrest repeats the same decorative vocabulary. The armrests are adorned with broad acanthus leaves.
