Swiss table, 18th century

This walnut writing table opens with a drawer on one side. Originating from the Valais region, it displays all its characteristic features: elegance and refinement of the turned elements, and a rounded X-shaped stretcher resting at the center on a fifth leg.
In a good state of preservation, the wood used was selected with the greatest care at the time and has survived the centuries without suffering from the passage of time. A second drawer originally existed on the other side but was removed in the past.
