Offered by Emmanuel Redon Silver Fine Art
Silverware and Silversmith of the 19th and 20th centuries
This substantial, cylindrical, slightly flared solid silver casserole was crafted by the renowned French silversmith Boin-Taburet in Paris, in the distinctly Art Deco style of the 1925-1935 period.
The body features an elegant geometric design engraved with stylized radiating motifs, subtly emphasizing the purity of the lines and the balance of the proportions. The upper rim is adorned with a frieze of rectangular reserves that accentuates the refined architecture of the piece.
The hinged side handle, also in solid silver, accommodates a carved exotic wood handle, offering a warm contrast to the satin sheen of the precious metal while reminiscent of modern designs from the interwar period. The vermeil interior provides a luxurious and refined finish.
This piece testifies to the exceptional craftsmanship of Boin-Taburet, renowned for the quality of its creations and its elegant interpretation of 20th-century decorative arts.
