Furniture and art objects from the 17th, 18th and early 19th
In a rich setting finely and vigorously carved with scrolls, gadrooned twisted forms, and acanthus leaves, it is surmounted by an eagle with outstretched wings and, in its lower section, by a putto head.
The frame, adorned with foliage, encloses a beveled mirror.
Italian work of the 17th century, circa 1780, attributable to the sculptor Filippo Passarini (Rome, 1638–1698), in very good condition, retaining its original gilding.
