The deity is cast in bronze using the lost-wax method. Two important features should allow us to precisely locate and date this Buddha. First, the eyes, whose eyelids are fused together to form a single eye, thus rendering the Buddha blind. It is likely that this represents the Buddha in meditation, completely isolating himself from the world. The second feature is the unusually pronounced relief of the nipples. Southeast Asian work, Siam or Laos, 17th century or earlier. Very beautiful patina. Height: 315 mm. The Ushnisha flame is missing
