Elegant pedestal in richly grained mahogany, embellished with finely chased and gilded bronze mounts. The slender structure rests on curved uprights adorned with antique-inspired female heads, characteristic of the Empire vocabulary. The whole is punctuated by decorative crosspieces and an intermediate shelf, providing both visual balance and stability. The contrast between the warm depth of the mahogany and the brilliance of the gilded bronze underlines the quality of execution and decorative refinement. The finely worked details testify to masterful craftsmanship. French work from the Napoleon III period, in the taste of the First Empire. Dimensions
