Richly marquetry table, 17th century

Table in natural wood, richly inlaid, opening with a frieze drawer.

The top features marquetry decoration on a thuya burl ground, composed of a central medallion adorned with a vase of flowers, framed by circular reserves and leafy scrollwork.
Various motifs of flowers, birds, cornucopias, and arabesques complete the composition.

The frieze, also inlaid, echoes the vegetal decoration of the top.
It stands on four turned baluster legs joined by a twisted X-shaped stretcher, with carved and decorated blocks.

French work from the late 17th century.
