Throne of Grace or Trinity in limestone circa 1500

Symbolic representation of the Trinity composed of the figure of the Father seated in majesty supporting the Son on the cross, and accompanied by the dove of the Spirit. In our depiction, the dove seems to emerge from the Father's mouth to tower over Christ.

As for the cross, it emerges from the earthly orb. Thus, the sphere surmounted by a cross that Christ holds in the Salvator Mundi representations, for example, becomes here the support of the Passion.

The lower part of the group shows very fine drapery carving, still very Gothic.

Accidents and missing parts, particularly the head of the dove and the crowned forehead of God the Father. Traces of polychromy and gilding, soiling due to candle smoke in particular.
