Offered by Galerie Lassus
This bronze sculpture is the work of Jivko, a Bulgarian artist born in 1963. Trained in sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Sofia and later in Prague, he further refined his practice at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris, where he was invited from 1990 to 1992.
A talented sculptor, Jivko draws inspiration from mythology (the Minotaur, Bacchus, Icarus), from customs rooted in the world of his childhood, and from everyday emotions.
His work is timeless, though contemporary in the treatment of materials and form.
He has received numerous sculpture awards from 1986 to the present day.
Signed on the base.
Sold with its certificate.
