CATALOGUE NOTE
This Renaissance was likely sculpted in the workshop of an anonymous Florentine sculptor and can be placed in the circle Antonio Rosselino (1427/28 – 1479), Desiderio da Settignano (ca. 1428/30 – 1464) and Mino da Fiesole (1429 – 1484). It my represent Saint John the Baptist as a boy, a them that was frequently explored by the Florentine masters.
