François Quesnel (1543-1619) - Portrait of Jeanne De Lannoy - Circa 1590

This painting, signed with the monogram "FQ", is attributed to François Quesnel (1543–1619), a famous portrait painter of the late French Renaissance. The work depicts Jeanne de Lannoy, Lady of Fatouville and wife of Guy de Nollent (ca. 1570–1644), an important figure of the Norman nobility. Dated to the 1580s–1590s, this portrait accurately reflects the fashions of the late 16th century and illustrates the refinement characteristic of Quesnel's style.
