Large Mahogany Filing Bookcase, Mid-19th Century

This substantial mahogany library cabinet opens with five glazed doors and features 30 cardboard storage boxes.
It is fitted with two leather-covered pull-out writing slides on the front, as well as a semicircular inkwell. Depth of the pull-out slides: 29 cm.

The glass panels are original, and the shelves are adjustable thanks to a rack system.
The cardboard storage section locks with small crossbars that secure the boxes in place.

A high-quality piece of furniture, paneled on the sides.
Originally used as a notary’s cabinet.
