Monstrance, Napoleon III period

A very fine gilt brass monstrance set with ruby-colored cut and faceted crystals in the Neo-Gothic style, dating from the Napoleon III period (1848-1870), 19th century.
In the Christian religion, rubies are associated with the myth of representing the blood of Christ.
The radiating lunette, adorned with a row of translucent cut and faceted crystals, is surmounted by a cross.
The quatrefoil base is decorated with numerous leaves.
Vermeil lunette.
