Nevers ewer, faience, Conrade period, circa 1650–1660
Helmet-shaped ewer in tin-glazed earthenware, the scroll handle inspired by French silverwork. Decorated in blue camaïeu with a river landscape featuring a watermill and numerous birds, including waders and waterfowl. The spout is flanked by an anthropomorphic motif simulating the bearded head of a Native figure.
