A pair of large dueling pistols, housed in their original case with numerous cleaning and reloading accessories, by Verney Carron Frères, arms manufacturers in Lyon, Saint-Étienne, and Marseille in the 19th century. The case is made of Macassar ebony with brass inlay, French polished, and lined with green velvet. The velvet is intact but has a few small stains. The case is monogrammed AG (?), and features a beautiful cutout in the center of the case's top. The case contains numerous reloading accessories: a powder measure, an ebony-mounted screwdriver, a powder flask, a nipple remover, an ebony cleaning rod, an ebony hammer, and ebony boxes. The pistols are 40 cm long. The case measures 46 cm x 28 cm x 8 cm high.
