Small Louis XVI period living room writing table.Made of fruitwood, stained sycamore, and rosewood, it features three drawers on the front.

The upper drawer, shaped like a sliding writing tablet in dark leather, reveals a storage space and offers three compartments on the right for writing utensils.

Inlaid throughout, the three main sides are adorned with a rich Queen-shaped decoration on the belt and a bouquet of flowers on the two lower drawers and their sides.

Each decoration is framed by a double discontinuous border of light wood and ebony, separated by fine checkerboard patterns.
The uprights feature rosewood decoration framed by the same border.

The crosspieces are raised at an angle and finished with tapered legswith simulated fluting, ending in gilt bronze caps.
The table is topped with a white marble top surrounded by an openwork gilt brass gallery.
