Salomé – Emmanuel Villanis (1858–1914)

A superb patinated metal sculpture by French master Emmanuel Villanis, signed three times and bearing the 1892 Salon plaque. This imposing work, nearly a meter high, captures the captivating seduction of Salomé—an eternal symbol of beauty and danger. Villanis's refined modeling and delicate patina give her graceful pose an almost lifelike presence, the chain sliding subtly through her hands. An emblematic example of Villanis's genius, at the height of the Art Nouveau period. Dimensions: H. 98 × W. 33 × D. 30 cm Signed “E. Villanis” three times Metal (spelter) with polychrome patina
