Large trumeau, Turin circa 1770

Richly carved and gilded interlacing with a painted cartouche. The sumptuous multicoloured floral still life is attributed to the Turin painter Michele Antonio Rapous. All the mirrors are original!

This trumeau comes from the estate of Alberto Bruni Tedesco, Carla Bruni's father. Part of the collection was sold at auction in 2007 by Sotheby's in Milan.
The trumeau was not included in the auction at the time and was kept by the heirs. However, this trumeau is featured in the Sotheby's catalogue in an interior view, proving its origin.
It was sold in the 1960s to Alberto Bruni Tedesco by art dealer Pietro Accorsi.
