Important work table with scagliola top, Rome or Naples, circa 1840. The base rests on legs shaped like paws with a central laurel-shaped cartouche. The legs feature scrolls rolled into shell shapes on both sides with masks suggested on the sides. The top is made of polychrome scagliola with scenes from Greek mythology.
