Pair of large Louis XVI armchairs in blond walnut wood, resting on 4 tapered, fluted and rudenté legs.
The molded belts connect to the front legs with pretty fleurettes and to the back with pointed motifs.
The armrest consoles take up the fluting and rudentures of the legs as well as the molding of the belts and pleasantly connect to the uprights of the backrest.
The backrest, in cabriolet and trapezoidal shape, ends with small feather dusters.

François Lapierre (1753-1823), received master in 1784, practiced in Lyon. He produced purely Louis XVI and sometimes Transitional but always well-proportioned seats. Let us highlight here the robustness and elegance of the seat, well-structured and generous in its forms.
