This circular bowl on a short foot is decorated with polychrome and gold enamels, featuring a multitude of butterflies on the inner wall and a mille-fleurs pattern on the outer wall. A gold lacquer mark under the base in a cartouche on a black background, Ryuzan. Very fine crackle on the paste, evidence of the high quality of the earthenware, is visible under the base.
