Pair of lions in bronze brown and gilded

Paire of brown bronze lions placed on a gilded bronze socle, the two majestuous lions are sculpted in a train of rugir and tie one of their tails forward to the front and their tails roll up from the front. The lions, figures typically associated with pride and strength, are in brown bronze: this choice creates a strong contrast with the golden bronze of the figure here, to confirm their privileged position. The base present a frise, also in brown bronze, representing a scene of the chasse composed of three female figures, equipped with bows and arrows, decided to take a deer. On the front of the base you will find a coat of arms made up of: a needle aux ailes deployed here holding four trumpets so that you can find the right two carquois containing the flèches. France. Époque: Empire. HxWxD: 36x40x18 cm.
