Pair of two-armed sconces in finely chiseled and mercury-gilded bronze.
The scrolling sconces are decorated with foliage and end in twisted fluted sockets adorned with asparagus rudentures.
The plate is decorated with foliage, acanthus and a pearl and ends at the damping with a garland of laurel foliage topped with a pine cone.
Characteristic of the neoclassical style specific to Louis XVI decor, these sconces are similar to the work of bronziers such as Feuchère or Gouthière.
Very beautiful mercury gilding with matte and shiny finishes on a fine chasing.
Parisian work from the Louis XVI period from the end of the 18th century.
