Bookcase in ebony, tortoiseshell and brass, inlaid in the Boulle style.
The front opens onto two leaves, each composed of two glass panels. Rich marquetry decoration on the uprights, top and bottom rails and around the leaves: lambrequins, arabesques and stylized acanthus alternating in oblong reserves.
It rests on a protruding, cut-out crosspiece encircled by a concave brass plate-band, matching the composition of the cornice.
The flat ebony sides are divided into two panels simulated by double fine brass fillets.
It is fitted with five shelves with ebony veneered edges centered with a brass fillet.
